Nicole in Mexico

This past Fall I decided to try a new sport and tried out for Carleton Ravens Novice Women’s Rowing Team! I felt in love with the sport instantly and after a successful season including a gold medal at the Ontario University Championships I knew I wanted to continue developing my technique and training. I was invited to attend the Row2Fast winter training camp for rowing in Mexico City this past March. This trip was life changing and really pushed me out of my comfort zone. I got to travel to Mexico for the first time, train with some amazing rowers and coaches on the 1982 Olympic course and enjoy some sun and authentic Mexican food for 2 weeks. I could not have been more pleased with my experience and I am so grateful to have been invited! I intend on attending camp again in early 2015.
